Mickey’s Jammin Jungle Parade at Animal Kingdom

I even like it better than the Magic Kingdom’s Christmas parade (please don’t shoot?).
About Mickey’s Jammin Jungle Parade:
Mickey’s Jammin Jungle Parade at Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom is the most unique parade at the World. There are still floats galore, and dancers in costume, but I believe that this is the only parade that also has huge animal puppets that seem to be 2 stories high (maybe 1 1/2?), people dancing while on stilts and wearing crazy animal costumes, and several floats that are powered by a human on a gigantic bicycle.
Mickey’s Jammin Jungle Parade also has the catchiest music.
Mickey’s Jammin Jungle Parade Music:
So sing it out (and bark and growl and screetch and roar), and dance along! There is no catchier tune in all of Walt Disney World than the Jammin Jungle Parade music. You just can’t help but sing along with Rafiki as he belts out “We’re just one great big family!”. I tell you, this song gets stuck in my head all the time, but I never mind it.
The only problem is that it can be very difficult to find the Mickey’s Jammin Jungle Parade soundtrack. I often hear it on various internet radio stations that play ride and parade music from Walt Disney World, but the specific cd that it’s available on is either out of print, or only available at Walt Disney World itself. I’ve found the Jammin Jungle Parade music on the Disney’s Magic in the Streets parade soundtrack, which is available in two places, but this is the cheapest that I’ve found it, and it’s not always available.
Where To Watch Mickey’s Jammin Jungle Parade:
Everyone has their favorite spot to watch from, but since the Mickey’s Jammin Jungle Parade route starts out at Kilimanjaro Safari and basically wraps around Discovery Island and back again, I would think the best way to watch the Jammin Jungle Parade is to get a fast pass for the safari just before the parade starts, hop onto Kilimanjaro Safari’s just after the last float passes by, and you might exit in time to see the return of the parade.
Just make certain that you’re in the section of the park that you want to be in before the Jammin Jungle Parade starts, because once it comes by, you’re cut off from the rest of the park until the parade is finished. It completely takes up the entire path that you use to get from section to section, and the only way through is to cut through shops.
I have heard that watching from the otters section is the best place to watch Mickey’s Jammin Jungle Parade from, but I believe that was just because otters make great pre-show entertainment. I’ve never been able to find the section and remember where it is to go back, so I can’t give my personal take on that. I have, however, been stuck behind the parade for about 10 minutes. Mickey waved at me a lot, though, so it’s not necessarily a bad thing.
